Apple has announced that it will donate one dollar from every purchase in the Apple Store or its own online store, paid through Apple Pay until December 2nd, to the fight against AIDS, up to a maximum of one million dollars. This is an extension of a long-running campaign that is linked to the RED initiative.

As part of its RED initiative, Apple supports a fund that finances HIV/AIDS programs in Africa, as well as other projects that deal with the fight against malaria or tuberculosis. Since the launch of the RED initiative in 2006, Apple has already raised more than $220 million in this way. Most of this amount comes from proceeds from sales of special RED edition iPhones, iPods and other products and accessories in this red color variant.

The timing of this event is not accidental, as December 1st is World AIDS Day. It can thus be expected that Apple will decorate its stores with red color during this day, which will last the whole week.

If you want to support the RED initiative, you can purchase a large number of (PRODUCT)RED accessories, such as cases for iPhones and iPads, bracelets for Apple Watch or special edition Beats headphones. You can view a list of all accessories on the official Apple website (<a href="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1932/8043/files/200721_ODSTOUPENI_BEZ_UDANI_DUVODU__EN.pdf?v=1595428404" data-gt-href-en="https://en.notsofunnyany.com/">here</a>).
