For its Apple Online Store, Apple had only a certain number of new phones ready, the rest will be waiting for customers who usually stand in endless queues in front of brick-and-mortar stores this Friday. Apple didn't give exact numbers for pre-sales, but whatever number of iPhones 6 and 6 Plus it had ready, they were gone in a few hours.
The American Apple Online Store, which had huge technical problems at launch and many customers were unable to order a new device even after several hours of effort, is now completely sold out. Apple is able to deliver the iPhone 6 in all colors and sizes in seven to ten days at the earliest, and the iPhone 6 Plus even in three to four weeks. It was the larger 5,5-inch model that was not available first. Before its introduction, there was speculation that Apple might release it a bit later because they can't make enough of them, but since we don't know the exact numbers, we can't say for sure that there really are fewer iPhones 6 Plus, or that there was just more interest in them.
US carriers, which have started taking orders for the new iPhones just like Apple, have also confirmed that they have seen huge customer interest and the start of sales surpassed both last year's iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5 from 2012. We could get more accurate numbers in a week, because Apple record first weekends and millions of new iPhones sold usually informs.
The situation in Germany, where Czech customers are closest, is not significantly better than in the United States. The new iPhones will arrive in the Czech Republic in October at the earliest, but the official date has not yet been set. The German Apple Online Store reports three to four weeks for the delivery of all but one model, within 10 days it has only the gold iPhone 6 with 128GB storage in stock.
According to our information, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus could arrive in the Czech Republic in mid-October, but we do not yet have an official word from Apple or the Czech operators. We will inform you further about the availability of new phones.
