Under the classic rhythm game, most players imagine a frighteningly frenetic affair that will require sweaty foreheads and aching fingers on many occasions. For fans of the genre who can't let go of Thumper, for example, then the new A Musical Story will certainly come across as pure eccentricity. The new venture from the developers from the Glee-Cheese studio places much greater emphasis on the story, to which the rhythmic part of the game is firmly tied.

The protagonist of the story of the game is a young musician Gabriel. He loses his memory during an unfortunate accident, and only the music that meant so much to him in his past life can bring back his memories. Gabriel, lying in a hospital bed, puts together his own life story from the fragments of songs that you help him put together. As already said, unlike classic rhythm games, you will not only press buttons when the game instructs you to do so. Being a musician in A Musical Story is a lot harder.

Instead of precisely determined places in the song, A Musical Story leaves you free. Gabriel only hears incomplete melodies and your task is to complete them. However, the developers manage the rather difficult challenge of adapting it to people who do not have a complete ear for music. The game offers a lot of relief options. You can thus complete the main character's story, even if you are a musical anti-talent.
