Until the iPad comes out, there will be a lot of speculation around it. Everyone is convinced that Apple has not presented everything about the iPad. So today let's take a look at the mysterious button on the iPad external keyboard.
After the publication of photos of the external keyboard for the iPad, there was talk of a button that is completely empty. Right in the middle above the dial, we can see a completely empty keyboard. Is Apple hiding something from us?
This immediately starts speculation and people wonder what this key could be used for. For example, one option might be the option to set the application to launch according to your choice. You click and the Facebook application you set up, for example, starts.
But what many of us would like is for this key to be used to launch the so-called Dashboards, known primarily to MacOS users. Other users will better imagine this feature when I say widgets. In short, a screen with widgets, for example, there could be a calculator, weather forecast and more (the current main screen lacks these apps!). Of course, to be completely satisfied, we would like any developer to be able to develop these widgets.
Widgets have been talked about before, but more in connection with the lock screen. Even now, this screen looks embarrassingly blank. Anyway, I believe that Apple has certainly not kept everything related to the iPad a secret. We are looking forward to the release of the iPad in March, or the introduction of iPhone OS 4.

I don't know if I would use widgets on such a device, but I have no doubt that Apple is still hiding something from us with the iPad :)
They are certainly hiding a lot, but they will only publish it with the second or third version of the iPad :-)
and how about replacing the only HW button of the iPad, hmm? :)
It's on the top left..
come on, in that case it will be the button for the wireless coffee machine - 1x presso :)
I don't want to talk to you..:-D But I don't think there will be anything there at all...:-D They just had a button left there and so they didn't have to build a new production line, they left it empty..:-D

Yes, that's exactly in Jobs's style, leave a button somewhere :-)
Everyone should be able to choose what they want. :)
