Apart from its classic products, Apple also focuses on the sale of various accessories. If you are among the true fans, then you certainly also know that in the past the company's offer was significantly more lively. In short, the Cupertino giant tried to cover almost every segment. In 1986, a year after its founder Steve Jobs left the company, he even started selling clothes and other accessories. You could buy, for example, a T-shirt, trousers, or perhaps the theoretically first Apple Watch or a pocket knife.

The Apple Collection wanted to benefit above all from the good name of the company. However, we didn't see any other collections afterwards, which makes sense in the finale. Apple, as a technology giant, should of course focus primarily on its iPhones and other devices rather than clothing. However, if we look at the relatively recently registered patents and various speculations and leaks, it is quite possible that we will still see Apple clothing in the future. But in a diametrically different form. Are we in for the arrival of smart clothing?

Technologies are moving forward at rocket speed and are increasingly becoming part of our daily lives. The Apple Watch, for example, plays a particularly interesting role in this. It is a product from the wearables segment that can monitor our health functions and physical activity. We can then view this data in a comprehensible form on, for example, an iPhone. According to patents from recent years, Apple wants to push this segment a little further. He is currently playing with the development of smart clothing, which could theoretically have a number of uses.

Although smart clothing seems like a revolutionary thing at first glance, it is not quite so. Google was ahead of its time in this regard with its Jacquard project. This company has developed a small device that can add smart functions to, for example, a denim jacket, backpack or football boots. Of course, the main question remains how Apple will approach the whole thing. According to various speculations, it should focus directly on smart clothing, which will be primarily aimed at athletes. Specifically, it will capture health data during various activities.

Apple has invested huge money in the health segment in recent years. In this respect, for example, the aforementioned Apple Watch is already relatively excellent, which according to various leaks should see a number of interesting improvements over the next few years. For this reason, the development of smart clothing makes sense. But the question remains whether we will actually see something like this and possibly when. Whether it turns out one way or another, we can already state that the aforementioned segment of wearables still has big changes ahead of it.
