The second upcoming movie about Steve Jobs went through several ordeals, when it was rejected and changed directors, actors and even Sony finally abandoned it, but the studio Universal Pictures, which took over the picture, has now announced the full cast and officially started filming.

In a movie apparently called simply Steve Jobs (in the press release, this is how Universal Pictures refers to the work) we can look forward to three major product introductions during Jobs' lifetime, and everything culminates with the iMac in 1998.

There are no surprises among the officially confirmed cast. The main role of Jobs was given to Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Future Past, 12 Years in Chains), Kate Winslet (Pre-Reader, Eternal Light of Immaculate Mind) will portray Joanna Hoffman, a former Macintosh marketing executive. Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will be played by Seth Rogen (Neighbors, The Interview) and Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom, Good night and good luck) appears as former company executive John Sculley.

Film directed by Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 hours) and written by Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, The Newsroom) will also feature Katherine Waterston (Prereader, Inherent Vice, In Dad's Shadow) as Chrisann Brennan, Jobs' ex-girlfriend, and Michael Stuhlbarg (Serious Man, Boardwalk Empire) as Andy Hertzfeld, one of the original members of the Macintosh development team.

Perla Haney-Jardine (how will it be), Ripley Sobo (A winter's tale) and Makenzie Moss (forthcoming Do You Believe?) as a young Lisa Brennan during various parts of her life, Sarah Snook (Predestination) as Andrea Cunningham and Adam Shapiro (Single Man) as Avie Tevanian.

The official news from Universal Pictures is only coming now, however the film already started shooting a few weeks ago when the crew visited for example, the legendary garage in Steve Jobs' house.
