At present, it could already be said that the iPod from Apple is probably past its heyday. The vast majority of users listen to their favorite music on their iPhones through music streaming service applications. But it never hurts to think back to a time when the world was fascinated by every new iPod model released.

In the second half of February 2004, Apple officially launched its new iPod mini. The new model of the music player from Apple really lived up to its name - it was characterized by very small dimensions. It had 4GB of storage and was available in four different color shades at the time of its release. Apple equipped it with a new type of "click" wheel for control, the dimensions of the player were 91 x 51 x 13 millimeters, the weight was only 102 grams. The body of the player was made of aluminum, which has been very popular with Apple for a long time.

The iPod mini was received with unequivocal enthusiasm by users and became the fastest-selling iPod of its time. During the first year after its release, Apple managed to sell a respectable ten million units of this tiny player. Users literally fell in love with its compact design, easy operation and bright colors. Thanks to its small dimensions, the iPod mini quickly became a favorite companion of fitness enthusiasts who took it to jogging tracks, cycling and gyms - after all, the fact that it is possible to literally wear this player on the body was clearly indicated by Apple itself, when together with this also launched wearable accessories with the model.

In February 2005, Apple released the second and final generation of its iPod mini. At first glance, the second iPod mini didn't differ too much from the "first", but in addition to 4GB, it also offered a 6GB variant, and unlike the first generation, it was not available in gold. Apple discontinued production and sales of its iPod mini in September 2005.
