WWDC21 will start already on Monday, June 7 and will last for the whole week. Of course, this annual event is primarily dedicated to new operating systems, software and any changes that mainly concern developers. Nevertheless, some hardware is introduced from time to time. For example, in 2019, the professional Mac Pro, also known as a grater, was unveiled here, and last year Apple announced the arrival of Apple Silicon, i.e. its own ARM chips for Macs. In addition to the new systems, will we see any products this year as well? There are several interesting variants in the game.

MacBook Pro

The MacBook Pro should offer a major design change and come in 14" and 16" variants. Confidential sources also claim that the device will bring some crucial ports like HDMI, an SD card reader and power via a MagSafe connector. The biggest boast should then be a newer chip, probably named M1X/M2, thanks to which it will see a huge increase in performance. This should increase especially in the GPU area. If Apple wants to replace the existing 16" model, which is equipped with a dedicated AMD Radeon Pro graphics card, it will have to add a lot.

However, questions still hang over the question of whether we will see the introduction of the new MacBook Pro already during WWDC21. The leading analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had previously reported that the disclosure will only take place in the second half of the year, which begins in July. The Nikkei Asia portal also confirmed the information. Anyway, a well-known analyst added to the whole situation this morning Daniel Ives from the investment company Wedbush. He mentions a rather important thing. Apple should have a few more aces up its sleeve that it will present alongside operating systems at WWDC21, one of which is the long-awaited MacBook Pro. The leaker holds the same opinion Jon prosser, which is not always completely accurate.

New chipset

But the more likely possibility is that we will have to wait for the mentioned "Pročko" some Friday. However, we already mentioned the use of a newer chipset, i.e. the successor of the M1 chip. And this is exactly what Apple could get away with now. In theory, an M1X or M2 chip could be introduced, which would subsequently be included in the upcoming Macs. According to the information so far from Bloomberg, we definitely have a lot to look forward to.

This novelty should unimaginably exceed the performance of the M1, which is of course quite logical. So far, Apple has introduced only basic Macs with Apple Silicon, and now it is necessary to focus on more professional models. Specifically, the new chip would offer a 10-core CPU (with 8 powerful and 2 economical cores), and in the case of the GPU, there will be a choice of 16-core and 32-core variants. The operating memory will then be able to be selected up to 64 GB instead of the previous 16 GB. Lastly, support for connecting at least two external monitors is expected.

A larger iMac

In April, the expected 24" iMac was revealed to the world, which received a change in design and the M1 chip. But this is a basic, or entry-level, model. So now it's the professionals' turn. So far, several mentions of the arrival of the 30"/32" iMac have appeared on the Internet. It should be equipped with a better chip and in terms of appearance should be closer to the mentioned 24" version. However, the introduction of this product is very unlikely. So we should wait until next year at the earliest.

Remember the introduction of the 24" iMac:

AirPods 3nd generation

The arrival of the 3rd generation AirPods has also been rumored for quite some time. This product received the most media coverage in March this year, when the Internet was literally filled with various reports about its early arrival, appearance and functions. In general, we can say that in terms of design, the headphones come close to the Pro model. They will therefore have shorter legs, but they will not be enriched with functions such as active suppression of ambient noise. But will they come now during WWDC21? The answer to this question is difficult to find. Practically, it would make sense after the recent introduction of Apple Music Lossless.

This is what AirPods 3 should look like:

On the other hand, for example Ming-Chi Kuo previously claimed that mass production of the headphones would not begin until the third quarter. This opinion was also joined by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, according to which we will have to wait until autumn for the new generation.

Beat's Studio Buds

So AirPods may not appear at the developer conference, but this is not the case for other headphones. We are talking about the Beats Studio Buds, about which more and more information has surfaced recently. Even some American stars have been seen in public with these new headphones in their ears, and it seems that there is nothing stopping their official introduction.

Apple Glass

It has been known for quite some time that Apple is working on VR/AR glasses. But that's about the only thing we can say for sure now. There are still a lot of question marks hanging over this product and no one is clear when it will actually see the light of day. However, shortly after the invitations to this year's WWDC 21 were published, various conspiracies began to appear on the Internet. Memoji with glasses are depicted on the aforementioned invitations. It should be noted, however, that the early introduction of such a fundamental product was hardly discussed anywhere, and we probably won't see it (for now). The glasses are used in the graphics more to show the reflection from the MacBook, thanks to which we can see the icons of applications such as Calendar, Xcode and the like.
