We finally got it. The opening Keynote for this year's first ever Apple conference, which bears the name WWDC20, starts in just an hour. This is an exclusively developer event where upcoming operating systems will be introduced. Finally, we will learn what awaits us in iOS and iPadOS 14, macOS 10.16, watchOS 7 and tvOS 14. We will inform you about all the news through individual articles.

What will Apple get away with at the Keynote?

For several years, there has been talk that Apple should abandon Intel in the case of Apple computers and switch to its own solution - that is, to its own ARM processors. A number of analysts estimate their arrival this year or next year. Especially in the last few days, there has been constant talk about the introduction of these chips, which we should expect soon. We should expect the first apple computer with a processor directly from Apple at the end of this year, or in the first quarter of the next year.

There is still a lot of talk about improvements to the native Safari browser in the case of the iOS and iPadOS 14 operating systems. The browser should include an integrated translator, improved voice search, improvements to the organization of individual tabs and the addition of a Guest mode. Also closely related to Safari is the improved Keychain on iCloud, which could compete with software like 1Password and the like.

Finally, we can look at the invitations to the conference itself. As you can see, there are three Memoji depicted on the invitation. Tim Cook and Vice President Lisa P. Jackson decided to take a similar step today via Twitter. Is Apple planning something for us that we haven't even thought of yet? News began to circulate on the Internet that the conference will be completely moderated precisely through the aforementioned Memoji. Either way, we definitely have a lot to look forward to.

Hey email client will remain in the App Store, a compromise has been found

Last week, you could read in our magazine that Apple is threatening the developers of the HEY email client with the deletion of their application. The reason was simple. The app appeared to be free at first glance, it didn't offer in-app purchases, but all its functionality was hidden behind an imaginary door that you could only get through by purchasing a subscription. In this, the Californian giant saw a huge problem. The developers came up with their own solution, where users had to purchase a subscription on the company's website and log in within the application.

And what exactly was wrong with Apple? Basecamp, which incidentally develops the HEY client, does not offer users the option to purchase subscriptions directly through the App Store. According to the company, this is for a simple reason - they are not going to share 15 to 30 percent of the profit with the Cupertino company just because someone buys a subscription through it. This incident caused the greatest controversy when it came to light that Basecamp simply followed in the footsteps of giants like Netflix and Spotify, who operate on the same principle. Apple's response to the whole situation was quite simple. According to him, the application should not have entered the App Store in the first place, which is why he subsequently threatened to delete it if this problem is not solved.

But with this, the developers themselves once again won in their own way. Would you expect them to accede to Apple's terms and add the option to purchase a subscription through the aforementioned App Store? If so, you are wrong. The company has solved it by offering every newcomer a fourteen-day free account, which is automatically deleted after the period has expired. Do you want to extend it? You will have to go to the developer's site and pay there. Thanks to this compromise, the HEY client will continue to stay in the apple store and no longer have to worry about reminders from Apple.
