WordPress has been on the AppStore for quite some time. But the developers came up with such an improvement that the entire application was renamed to WordPress 2. Now managing your blog from the iPhone is even easier and more convenient - and it's completely free.

On first launch, the application will ask for the URL of the blog you want to manage and your username and password to log in to the WordPress administration. Then all you have to do is confirm the data you have entered and after a short verification process you can start working with your blog. Of course, adding another blog to manage is not a problem, you can then conveniently switch between individual accounts on the tab Blogs.

What can you actually do with iPhone like this? The most essential part of the entire application is certainly the writing of the articles themselves. I think this part of the app could be even better than it is now. The actual creation (and editing) takes place in HTML mode, so don't expect any editor. I think that could be solved and it would be an interesting improvement. In addition to writing, you can fully manage articles, as well as comments and pages. So there is no problem to approve / delete a comment, make a quick edit in the article, etc. It is certainly worth mentioning the possibility to insert a photo directly from the iPhone into the text. You will also be pleased to have a quick preview of the overall article before you publish it, there is also the possibility to categorize articles, label them or assign them a status other than Published (e.g. you can save them in drafts, etc.).

There is definitely room for improvement, but WordPress 2 works much better for me than the previous version, so I think it deserves the number 2 in its name.
