Apple pleased application developers with a big news. Through the iTunes Connect portal, he made available to them the beta version of a new analytical tool that clearly displays a whole range of relevant data and statistics related to the applications that the given developer has released. The tool was released in beta last week, but only now is it available to all developers without distinction.

The new analytics tool provides summary information about developer apps, including data on the number of downloads, the amount of money collected, the number of views in the App Store, and the number of active devices. This data can be filtered in various ways according to time, and for each statistic it is also possible to call up a graphic overview of the development of the given statistic.

There is also a world map where the same stats can be displayed depending on the territory. The developer can thus easily retrieve, for example, data on how many downloads or views in the App Store his application has in a specific country.

A very interesting piece of data that Apple now provides to developers is a statistic showing the percentage of users who continued to use a given application days after downloading it. This data is displayed in a clear table, which expresses it as a percentage day by day.

A big advantage for developers is that they don't have to worry about the analysis tool, they don't have to set anything up, and Apple will serve all the data right under their noses. However, users must enable the collection of analytical data on their phone, so the telling value of the statistics also depends on their involvement and willingness to share data about their behavior in the application environment and the App Store.
