Jiří Filip Commercial message: The days when you needed as many notebooks, pens and pencils as possible for studying are long gone. In today's digital age, we practically cannot do without computers and tablets, i.e. the digital skills needed to master them. Precisely because of this, Slovakia has now launched a very useful project, within the framework of which almost every pupil or student will have access to electronics better than ever before. We are specifically talking about the Digital Pupil project or, if you prefer, the Digital Pupil.
Projects Digital learner is intended for students of primary, secondary and higher vocational schools. At the end of it, the pupil is able to study digitally, is ready to fully develop his potential, acquire and improve his digital skills and thus succeed in the digital age. For all these pupils, Slovakia has prepared a digital allowance of €350 for the purchase of a tablet or computer. In the case of the iStores.sk offer, MacBooks and iMacs and almost all iPads with Cellular (except the iPad mini) are the same, while the iPad will need to be purchased with a Slovak keyboard for full use for teaching. To receive a contribution, the student must be registered at: www.digitalnyziak.sk. Registration on the website will be available until June 30, 2023. Currently, 60 pupils out of approximately 152 are already registered.
From the iStores.sk offer, students will be able to choose, for example, a MacBook Air with an M1 chip from 649 euros or 20 euros/month for 36 months or an iPad (9th generation) with a Logitech keyboard from 208 euros or 6 euros/month for 36 months after deduction digital contribution. Further information and prices of the other devices in our offer after deducting the digital contribution of €350 can be found at this page. In short, however, it can be said that purchases with a contribution can only be made in person at iStores. Special prices only apply to in-store purchases with a digital voucher. The purchase procedure is indicated on the website. Keyboards for iPad can be selected from the entire menu, but the condition is that it contains Slovak localization. The purchase can also be made in installments. It is also possible to take advantage of the purchase of older equipment and save on the purchase of new equipment. There is currently a purchase bonus of €100 on the purchase of Mac computers, but it cannot be combined with the Digital Student promotion.
