Lessons are taught in a playful way and on the iPad

“What time is it when the little hand is at six? How long will the bus take? And what are those five minutes?” almost all children ask their parents. Especially in the period when they don't know the clock yet. I'm sure you'll agree that teaching your little ones the clock and knowing whether it's a clock or a digital clock can be quite a chore. The Czech educational application Výuka hodin can easily help with this difficult task. This is the responsibility of the company PMQ Software, which focuses on similar applications.

The lesson offers a total of seven lessons. In each chapter you will find several interactive tasks, including final tests. In each lesson, a basic and necessary explanation about the teaching of the lessons awaits the child. In this way, they get to know what time is and what it means for our lives, what is the difference between a clock and a digital clock, what is half an hour or three quarters of an hour, and so on.

Each lesson then contains interactive content, i.e. including lots of illustrative pictures, your child will also hear a pleasant voice accompaniment that explains everything properly. At the end, there is always a set of tests where the child checks the knowledge he has learned. I think that the application will be used not only by parents, but also by educators in various educational institutions. Of course, as with all similar applications, it is ideal to talk to the child about the subject and to have an adult present during the lesson.

In terms of graphics, the application is clear and very intuitive. Above all, I appreciate real pictures from life instead of cartoon pictograms. It may seem like an insignificant little thing, but from the point of view of effective and high-quality teaching, it is an essential thing.

The app itself is a free download on the App Store, with only one full tutorial available. The remaining six lessons need to be purchased as part of in-app purchases. All the lessons together cost €3,99, which is not a dramatic amount considering how effective it can be in teaching lessons. Lessons are compatible with all iOS devices.
