Likewise, everyone tries to be original in some way and for that reason many people use different editing tools. On the other hand, there aren't as many video editing apps in the App Store as there are for photographers.
The Czech application Instand can be an interesting and, in its own way, original choice. This is the fault of the developer Lukáš Jezný from Zlín, who won the eighteenth round of the AppParade domestic competition with it this February. According to Jezný, every user enjoys spoiling photos using Instagram, so he decided to create a similar application for HD video as well.
Instand is very simple and intuitive. Unlike other applications, it does not offer overpaid and cheesy gadgets that spoil the overall impression. In Instand, you have a choice of only fifteen eccentric filters to run through your footage.
The first time you launch it, just allow the app to access your gallery and Instand will automatically find the videos that are available. Subsequently, you only need to choose one video and experiment. There are definitely no limits to creativity, which is why you can find, for example, polaroid, brownie, noir, vintage or sketch filters in the application. There are also art filters of the old monitor type, games from the nineties, various color and black and white shades up to the Instand filter of the same name.
It is also very nice that you can always see how your video looked originally and after applying the given filter. You can also influence this with the sliding screen and compare the adjustments before and after in different ways. Of course, the video is still looping. Once you're happy with your selection and you've had enough creative fun, you can continue editing. Instand also offers basic editing in the form of changing sharpness, contrast, light or vignetting. The adjustments vary depending on which filter you have chosen.
As soon as you think the video is ready, just press the button to save and you can find the edited recording in the classic way in Photos. You can then share it on social networks or send it to friends or family.
The application does not offer or can do more than that, which in my opinion is not a bad thing at all. The purpose of the application is filters that will make your videos unusual and interesting. It's also nice that the application can also handle HD videos, so you don't have to worry about using the potential of your devices to the full. Instand is completely in Czech and you can use it on all iOS devices.
You can buy Instand in the App Store for two euros, which is not a drastic price for which you get a very decent and professionally done editing application. This is sure to be appreciated not only by all Instagram lovers, but also by people who like to make videos and want to stand out from others in some way.
