Michal Marek After two weeks from release of third developer betas of all three Apple operating systems, the beta version of the fourth is coming. Therefore, owners of developer accounts and corresponding devices can their devices with systems OS X El Capitan, iOS 9 whether Watch 2.0 update. Naturally, too much new is not waiting for them, the new beta versions rather correct known errors and bring the stability of the systems a little closer towards the tuning of the sharp version.
iOS 9
About to iOS version 9 it is mainly intended to bring news related to smarter Siri and better search, an improved Notes application, a new News application or full-fledged multitasking for iPad. All of these innovations were already available in the third developer beta version of the system, so the fourth version really only brings cosmetic changes.
When we look at the Settings, we find that the color of the icon for the Notification item has been changed from gray to red. But the more important news is that the Home Sharing option has returned to Apple Music, which disappeared from the system with the release of the service as part of iOS 8.4. Handoff's user interface has been tweaked, and another new feature is that the Podcasts system app on iPad now supports a new feature called Picture-in-Picture, which lets you play a video while doing anything else on the iPad.
A minor change in the user interface of the Apple Music application is also a welcome novelty. In the menu that appears after tapping the three dots, there are new icons for marking with a heart and starting a station, thanks to which the excessively long list of different options has been shortened a bit. Finally, the good news is that the power button can be used as a camera shutter again.
Finally, there is also a new feature worth mentioning, which is not directly related to the latest beta version of iOS 9, but is definitely important. iOS trial users can no longer rate apps in the App Store. Apple thus heard criticism from developers, whose applications often received a number of bad ratings because they were not stable on trial versions of the system. The reputation of these applications has thus unfairly declined.
Watch 2
Watch 2.0 it should come to the public during the fall and bring with it many important improvements. The most important of them is the support of native applications, thanks to which even third-party applications will be able to access the sensors of the watch and therefore not rely only on the data that flows from the iPhone. In addition, developers will be able to create their own "complications" in watchOS 2.0, the possibility of creating their own watch faces will be added, for example with their own photos, and the possibility to transform the Apple Watch into a classic bedside alarm clock thanks to the Night Stand mode is also practical.
The fourth developer beta version of watchOS 2.0 did not bring many visible changes compared to the previous beta. However, the Apple Pay function, which was not functional in the previous beta, was fixed. The update is 130 MB.
OS X El Capitan
The last beta released today is the fourth beta of the system OS X El Capitan, whose main domain is, in addition to performance optimization, improved work with windows, smarter Spotlight and improved applications Calendar, Notes, Safari, Mail, Maps and Photos. Compared to the third beta version, however, we did not discover any visible news in the new beta.
Does anyone have experience with the new Spotlight, if they search for something in the Czech Republic or are the new functions useless?
I'm more curious if Siri will be able to speak Czech.
