Another game from the world of Harry Potter has arrived in the App Store. This time, however, it is a really sophisticated game title, which also bases its essence on the use of elements of augmented reality. The name of the developer is also resounding – Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is created by none other than the studio Niantic, which also took care of the development of the phenomenal Pokémon GO game.

Harry Potter Wizards Unite

After all, the new game about a young wizard is built on the foundations of Pokémon GO, and both titles have a lot in common. Again, there is interaction with buildings and other elements from the real world or collecting specific objects, especially animals. Of course, there is a large dose of spells, the possibility of fights and cooperation with other players. However, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite offers a much more complex game world and expanded gameplay options.

As the player, you will work for the Ministry of Magic and become a member of a special unit of magicians who try to solve a mystery called The Calamity. Your main enemy is magic, which causes objects from the world of wizards to seep into the world of muggles (ordinary people). You will also encounter other enemies during your travels, including Death Eaters. They will inhabit fortresses that you must conquer - either individually or in a team.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is available for iPhone and iPad with at least iOS 10. It is compatible with iPhone 5s and later, iPad Air (1st generation) and later, or iPad mini 2 and later. The game is completely free to download, but offers a number of packs that can be purchased within the app.

Similar to Pokémon GO, availability for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is very limited at first. Currently, the game can only be found in App Store for the United States and Great Britain. In the coming days to weeks, it should be expanded to other markets, after all, it was the same when Pokémon GO was launched three years ago.

However, there is a workaround to bypass the restriction. If you have a US or UK Apple ID, you can use it to sign in to the App Store and download the game. Wizards Unite uses the same map background as Pokemon, so playing will be problem-free even in our regions.
