Last week, the news about an Apple employee who was accused of stealing trade secrets related to the Titan project flew through the media. He deals with autonomous car technology. The FBI took over the case, and appropriately so a criminal complaint reveals the interesting steps Apple is taking to protect its secrets.

Apple is famous for the maximum emphasis it places on the secrecy of its projects. For example, he introduced special monitoring systems to prevent the theft of sensitive data. It goes without saying that taking screenshots is also disabled - this is probably why Jizhong Chen took photos of his laptop monitor. Chen was caught taking the incriminating photos by another employee, who informed the security service about everything. Employees are also apparently trained in recognizing and reporting potentially suspicious situations. According to the website Business Insider photographed Chen drawings and schematics of proposed components and sensor diagrams of the autonomous car.

One of the most successful Apple Car concepts:

Employees working on the Titan project were especially carefully trained in this regard. According to the FBI, the training emphasizes the importance of keeping the nature and details of the entire project as secret as possible, as well as avoiding both intentional and unintentional leaks. Information about the project was only given to the individuals involved in it, and family members of the employees were not allowed to know anything about it. Strict secrecy concerned both the information itself and its eventual confirmation. Of the 140 employees, "only" five thousand were dedicated to the project, of which only 1200 had access to the main building where the relevant work was taking place.
