The program offer of the Apple TV+ streaming service also includes, among other things, the star-studded series The Morning Show, which enjoys great popularity among viewers. Of course, there are a number of very capable people behind the show - one of them being executive producer Michael Ellenberg, who recently gave the magazine Variety an interesting interview about what actually inspired him to work on the series.

Michael Ellenberg worked for HBO until 2016, where he worked for example on the series True Detective or Westworld, and after his departure he founded his own production company called Media Res. Ellenberg met Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht shortly after they were both hired by Apple and fresh off signings for the upcoming The Morning Show starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. Currently, Media Res has two more shows on Apple TV+ – Pachinko and an as-yet-untitled drama series with Brie Larson. Media Res currently employs around twenty people at its Hollywood headquarters.

Zack Van Amburg said of Michael Ellenberg that he understands quality storytelling and has the ability to attract the best talent of his time. "It's a rare quality that allowed him to successfully launch Media Res," adds Van Amburg. Jennifer Aniston, on the other hand, praises Ellenberg for his energy and constant pursuit of perfection, which was also evident during the filming of The Morning Show. The series gained a lot of public attention even before its official launch, mainly due to its cast and theme. According to her own words, Ellenberg has a special relationship with this. He is said to have loved NBC's Today show as a child, and was greatly upset by the forced departure of one of its hosts, Jane Pauley, in the 1990s. "I remember being fascinated by the fact that you could take something that was so great and turn it into something terrible," he admitted in an interview.

In an interview with Variety magazine, Ellenberg described, among other things, that in his work - after all, as in any other field - new and new problems constantly arise: "From the rental of the building, to the trailer and the quality of the script to small business matters, new ones arise on a daily basis problems. And you are never ready for any of them. And that's the great thing about it, because every day is an opportunity for you to gain new experiences," he said.

The series The Morning Show is one of the most popular on the Apple TV+ service, it even won several Golden Globe nominations.
