Not long ago, several Czech servers speculated that the sale of the iPhone 3GS in the Czech Republic could be delayed until September. I don't believe this information from the beginning. There are several reasons - T-Mobile already stated at the beginning that the iPhone 3GS will start selling in July, at the WWDC keynote the release month for the Czech Republic was July, so I see no reason why it should be otherwise.
The world may be struggling with a shortage of iPhone 3GS in stores, but the question is, how is the shortage really happening? Apple is quite possibly playing its favorite game as it did a year ago, when, in my opinion, it artificially created an insufficient supply of the iPhone 3GS in stores and thus increased interest in the iPhone 3G even more. It was just talked about everywhere and that's exactly the kind of marketing that Apple likes to do. On the other hand, the iPhone is selling very well in the world, when, for example, 1 million units were sold in the first three days of sales, or in Singapore a queue was formed in which 3000 people stood waiting for the start of sales of the iPhone 3GS.
However, a new report started spreading on the Czech Internet (see e.g. Novinky.cz) – the iPhone 3GS should go on sale in the Czech Republic from July 31, and sales should start at the same time for all operators. Although this information has not yet been confirmed by any of the operators and this is unofficial information, I think this date is exactly when the iPhone 3GS will really appear in the operators' offer. And I'm definitely looking forward to that day!
Jojo, I also hope and look forward to it.
I'm a little worried about the prices at operators :-(
I personally have O2 prepaid, I bought an iPhone 3G a year ago for the full price of 14k
Aka it will probably be full price for 3GS, hmm...
For "The world is struggling with the lack of iPhone 3GS in stores..." thanks!!! :-)
for jablickar: are you going to 3GS?
I'm going to it, even if I have to wait until the aforementioned Zari (personally, I also think that 31.7. will be realistic thanks to the fact that this date is mentioned more and more often abroad), now I'll just wait to see which operator will have it most conveniently...u My O2 contract has now expired, so I'll either extend it or move...
in the worst case, I'll buy it abroad, but I'd rather have it officially.. IT'S ALREADY OUT!
jablickar: unfortunately, I have to disagree... I have t-mobile and the mentioned Surf&Mail+, and in a year of using it with an iPhone, I didn't pay a single extra crown for the tariff!!! and I did practically everything possible with iPhone and edge... appstore, weather, youtube, cydia, installer, mail, stream radio and mp3 from the net, just everything :) and no problemo :)
I also have TM and the mentioned tariffs. I have never paid anything extra in almost two years. I even made sure by phone based on an article here when switching to OS 3. The operator almost laughed at me that I probably didn't even know that push notifications were working for me until now, but only for implicitly installed applications by Apple. The new axis only provided this feature to developers. So either he signed some habadura or they made a mistake and tried to cover it up. T-Mobile with the surf mail tariff does not honor push notifications as extra services!
I would also support the TMO. I have had an iPhone S&M with them for almost a year (T300) and I pay the same amount every month. No gray overhead. No push, no cry :-)
Personally, I don't care when the new IP generation comes out as a file, I would be interested in what our smart people are going to come up with tethering, which although officially everyone supports it, but in reality they don't. With the arrival of 3.1, when tethering via the ipcc update is prohibited (by default it is not allowed within the operator), it will be possible and charged for. This idiotic strategy of Apple to come up with something that should have been there a long time ago and then negate it is enough to say it... Hulanovska...
I have an Internet+ tariff with TM, I also called the technician and he confirmed that there is no push charge for this connection
I also have to write about my experience with T-Mobile. Although I don't use that many Internet applications on the iPhone, I surf the web and pick up emails on the iPhone, but still, T-Mobile honored me with other extra parts!! Later, thanks to Jablickari, I found out that I respect the collection of mail via push from MobileMe. I haven't received anything extra since I canceled it, but I haven't tried the new push from the app yet.
to jablickar: And did you ever tell me when they copied it? :DA how much is there? ;)
Well, I don't have o2, so I prefer vodafone :-). But he has to unblock it somehow, right?
jablickar: is this information about the IPCC not being sent to O2, or just a domenko? That's why I'm talking about it with their corporations and they tell me that everything is fine with them and the like. Otherwise, in the second beta 3.1, tethering is no longer active, so all you have to do is track it somewhere higher :\
Well, I'll see if by the end of the month I can find a brand new iPhone 3G 16GB at a good price, I'll keep it and buy the next generation iPhone. If I don't sit down, I'll start thinking about buying an iPhone 3GS
@Dj Lucas
I, on the other hand, have to oppose you.. I am clearly dissatisfied with T-Mobile. I have a Surf&Mail tariff and I can't say that they don't charge me anything extra. Until now, the statements looked good because they were giving me the Surf&Mail plan nonsense with some discount that they supposedly had for some months as a promotion. I personally didn't know anything about her, but so be it. Now they don't give it to me at a discount anymore, they say the event is over. And of course, not all units are billed to my tariff. When I called the infoline and asked what all is included there, I was told that almost nothing is included :) It does not include, for example: ICQ, internet radio, youtube, online news... and I haven't listed everything yet .
I was told that the Surf&Mail tariff includes those applications that have a wheel running at the top when loading. From what I've looked, the only apps I use that don't work are O2TV, TV Forecast, MyFootball and probably nothing else. In addition, I do not use these applications so much that I download more than 10MB per month outside the tariff.
So I'm really wondering how they don't charge you and me. I'm definitely thinking about leaving TM after this experience here, but canceling the contract will be difficult.
to jablickar: And what did you do with the iPhone 3G? sell or keep?
If I respect the problems with honoring data transmissions, I'm happy for VF. I took advantage of the promotion, when when buying a 3G iPhone and activating Pripojeni Nastalo, they gave a permanent discount of 50% on the data plan, so it costs me 325 per month with any data. And it was discounted for half a year to 150 per month, which is great. Tethering works without any problems and if there should be a problem later, I will connect the laptop via an older Nokia with this tariff. I'm still looking forward to 3G, it's promised this summer.
I'm thinking about a 3GS, it will definitely come up, but if I had a demand for my 3G white at a decent price (and the 3GS wouldn't be a fortune), I'd make it happen.
And what is the version of your 3G and how much are you willing to sell it for?
I can only recommend internet from o2, it's not a lot of money and it's 3Gecko. (:
It is white, i.e. iPhone 3G 16GB in white. And if I take it that way, a momentary idea, it probably doesn't make sense for me to sell it below 5000, and above 5000... I wouldn't want to haggle for a few hundred, so to hell with it. The iPhone is a nice, well-cared-for, unjailbroken, pet. :-)
¨So when I sold a 3G 16GB black for 9000 recently and it had a slightly cracked cover, you have to sell it at a higher price :D
I'll think about it. It also depends on how much I will need the 3GS for. And why not sell it at a time when there is already a newer model on the market... Someone will say that for that price they can have a new subsidized 3GS. Anyway, we'll see each other.
And how is the O2? Does it have 3G elsewhere than in Prague? In Brno, I expect to see 3G from VF, otherwise I use Edge almost everywhere.
It bothers me that O2 has almost no coverage for EDGE
