Tim Cook gave an extensive interview to an American television station, in which not too much news appeared. However, there have been several interesting things, and one of them concerns the employees who work (or will work) in the newly opened Apple Park. Tim Cook revealed in an interview that every employee working in Apple's new headquarters will have an electromechanical desk with the ability to adjust the height of the desk top.

Tim Cook revealed that all employees at Apple Park are provided with desks that have a wide range of tabletop height adjustments. Employees can thus stand while they work, as soon as they have had enough standing, they can lower the table top back to the classic level and thus alternate between sitting and standing positions.

Tim Cook has a very negative attitude towards sitting, and for example such notifications warning of excessive sitting in the Apple Watch are one of his most popular functions. In the past, Cook compared sitting to cancer. Images of the adjustable tables have surfaced on Twitter, featuring minimalist controls that allow the tabletop to slide up and down. This is probably a custom production directly for Apple, but at first glance the controls look too simple. Modern adjustable tables usually have some kind of display that shows the current height of the tabletop, making it very easy to readjust it to your favorite values.

Another point of interest concerns the chairs available to employees in the Apple Park offices. These are chairs of the Vitra brand, which according to foreign information are not nearly as popular as, for example, chairs from the manufacturer Aeron. The official reasons for this move are said to be that Apple's goal is not to make employees feel too comfortable in their chairs, on the contrary. The ideal way to spend a working day (at least according to Cook and Apple) is in a team, in direct cooperation with your colleagues.
