Developer Kyle Seeley has been releasing games in the Emily is Away series since 2015. They tell stories using various forms of electronic communication. While the first part gave us a completely new account on the Internet message board and the second part grew into a more extensive simulation of the mid-zero years, the third part with a heart in the title returns to the use of a single communication tool. Thanks to Emily is Away <3, you can remember what it looked like on Facebook in 2008. -pro-macos/"/] The game quite accurately copies the form of the most famous social network at the time when it was just gaining popularity. As a newcomer to the platform, the game starts with your first conversation with your friend Mat. This works as a tutorial to show you how Facenook (as the network is called in the game) actually works. Many will certainly appreciate a walk through the Internet open-air museum, but the game works simply exactly as if you were yourself directly on the social network. The main means of telling the story is the chat, which always offers you several dialogue options in conversations with your friends. The game will even try to force you to rewrite the selected answers letter by letter from the beginning, but luckily this setting can be changed. It's clear that Emily is Away <3 won't win the award for innovative, systemic gameplay. It is more of a meditative affair that you can sit down to after an exhausting day and return to a time long past with a glass of wine. The previous installments were praised for their great storytelling at the time of their release, and it looks like that will be the main quality of the third installment as well.
