A new version of the VMware virtualization tool has been released, which, like the last one, Parallels Desktop fully supports Windows 10. Fusion 8 and Fusion Pro 8 also bring support for OS X El Capitan, the latest Macs with Retina, as well as Windows 10's always-on voice assistant Cortana.

VMware is a virtualization software that allows you to run two operating systems on your Mac at the same time – such as Windows 10 and OS X El Capitan – without having to reboot. VMWare Fusion 8 supports the two latest systems from Apple and Microsoft.

Fusion 8 will offer 3D graphics acceleration with support for DirectX 10, OpenGL 3.3, USB 3.0 and multiple monitors with different DPI. The virtual machine will then offer full 64-bit support with up to 16 vCPUs, 64GB of RAM and an 8TB hard disk for one virtual device.

In the new version, VMware did not forget to add support for the latest iMac with Retina 5K display and 12-inch MacBook. DirectX 10 support will allow Windows to run on a Mac in native resolution even on a 5K display, and USB-C and Force Touch are also functional.

WMware Fusion 8 and Fusion 8 pro are on sale for 82 EUR (2 crowns), respectively 201 EUR (5 crowns). For existing users, the upgrade price is 450 and 51 euros, respectively.
