One of the main innovations of macOS Monterey was a feature called Universal Control. This should ensure a significantly better connection between Mac and iPad, both devices will be able to be controlled with a single mouse, keyboard or trackpad. At the same time, it should be able to use the drag and drop function between the two devices, which would greatly simplify the transfer of files and thus lead to an increase in productivity. We will not see the function in the first sharp version for the time being, but according to Apple, it should be still this fall, that is, in one of the following updates.

If Universal Control is exactly the feature you're after, the good news for you is that you won't have to wait much longer. Personally, I see the gadget as very successful, especially for those who cannot or do not want to fully replace their computer with an iPad, but at the same time see the iPad as a great addition to their iMac, Mac mini or MacBook. So let's hope Apple swings the ball and gets the feature up and running as soon as possible. Even more important than an early release, however, in my opinion, will be for the Cupertino company to avoid mistakes. There are quite a few of them in the new systems.
