Due to the coronavirus measures, today's apple conference was significantly different from the previous September keynotes. The most noticeable change was the complete omission of the iPhone theme, but some things remained the same. At the end of today's Apple Event conference, we also learned the release dates of the new iOS 14 and iPad OS 14 operating systems for the public.

What's new in iOS 14 and iPadOS 14

In June, Apple introduced new operating systems, many of which a large number of users had been waiting for for a long time. In the case of iOS 14, this mainly involves major adjustments to the home screen and the ability to add widgets directly between applications, as well as the App Library, which clearly displays all applications divided into folders to the user. Furthermore, it is rather a matter of smaller but significant improvements, for example when playing videos in Picture-in-Picture mode or searching in emoticons. A very interesting novelty is the fact that Apple users will now be able to choose a different default browser and email client. Release systems literally out the door

The systems were introduced during this year's WWDC in June and until now were only available as beta versions for developers or registered users. This time, Apple surprised by announcing a very early release date. At the end of the keynote, Tim Cook revealed that both new mobile operating systems will be released tomorrow, i.e. Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
