All iPhones have an accelerometer and can thus correctly record the orientation of the video when shooting. However, if you start recording in one position and then rotate the phone, the orientation will not change. Or you might forget to turn off orientation lock and the problem is back. This can be annoying. Instead of having to export the video to your computer and then rotate it, just use a simple application Video Rotate and Flip.
You will hardly find a simpler application. Even so, the developers did not compromise on design and functionality. When you have to use the app, it's a joy. First, use the button in the upper left corner to import the video clip you want to edit. Only videos from the Camera Roll can be imported. You can also play the imported video in the application.
And now for the edits. Rotate & Flip has a total of 3 functions which have 3 buttons at the bottom. The first is to rotate the video. It can be rotated continuously after 90 degrees, so 4 video positions, depending on which one you need. Another function is to flip the video at will, using the remaining arrows. So videos can be mirror flipped. And if you were expecting some more features, that's it. After the selected video edits, just tap the share button and the video will start exporting to the Camera Roll. You won't lose the original video, you'll have both on your iPhone.
Unfortunately, the application is only available in the iPhone version. However, it will also work on the iPad without a problem, you just won't have it spread over the entire screen, which is not a big problem with this app. The price for this piece of software is an affordable €0,89.

There's nothing better than having iMovie, it works there too, and you can edit, add sound and subtitles right on your iPhone ;-)
