Viber is one of the most popular communication apps. Now, in addition, it comes with a really interesting novelty that will please many users. Lenses for augmented reality (AR) are heading to the program, thanks to a partnership with Snap Inc. Thanks to the use of development tools from Snap such as Camera Kit, Creative Kit and Bitmoji, the mentioned AR lenses, which allow sharing on Snapchat along with Bitmoji avatars, will also look into Viber.

Viber AR lenses

Viber Lenses Powered by Snap will offer Viber users the first ever videos and photos with augmented reality support. Specifically, the novelty will offer 30 new lenses, including animal masks and Viber characters, underwater lenses, cat interactions and many others. Anyway, it shouldn't end here. The company plans to add another 300 lenses by the end of this year, with other companies having the option to add their own exclusive lenses to Viber. The World Wildlife Federation, FC Barcelona and the World Health Organization are among the first partners. Custom lenses should increase the interaction between users and the brand itself.

So all of this will be available in the Viber application, which, as we mentioned above, is an extremely popular tool for communication. In addition, the advantage is the comprehensive encryption of personal and group conversations.

Viber Lenses are a great addition to your existing sticker collections to visually express your opinion while chatting. The inclusion of Camera Kit, Bitmoji and Creative Kit is another way that Viber itself can actually get closer to people and facilitate their entire communication.

New Viber features include:

  • Instant Augmented Reality: Overlay images and harness the power of AR at your fingertips
  • Filters that attract attention: Add a creative side to your visuals
  • Expressive masks: Choose from a variety of masks that accurately track the movements of the user's face
  • Beautification Features: Enhance your images with realistic tools. With this you can incorporate, for example, lipstick, make-up, dye your hair and more
  • Custom Bitmoji: Integrate custom bitmoji characters into your videos and photos
