Last night, Apple supplemented its offer of open betas, and with a one-day delay, the public beta for the upcoming macOS 10.14 operating system, codenamed Mojave, also opened. Anyone with a compatible device can participate in the open beta test (see below). Signing up for the beta is very easy.

As with other operating systems introduced at the WWDC conference, macOS Mojave has been in the testing phase for several weeks. After the initial presentation at WWDC, a beta test for developers started and the system is obviously in such a state that Apple is not afraid to offer it to others. You too can try out Dark Mode and all the other new features in macOS Mojave.

List of supported devices:

  • Late-2013 Mac Pro (except some mid-2010 and mid-2012 models)
  • Late-2012 or later Mac mini
  • Late-2012 or later iMac
  • iMac Pro
  • Early-2015 or later MacBook
  • Mid-2012 or later MacBook Air
  • Mid-2012 or later MacBook Pro

If you want to participate in the open beta test, just register for the Apple Beta program (<a href="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1932/8043/files/200721_ODSTOUPENI_BEZ_UDANI_DUVODU__EN.pdf?v=1595428404" data-gt-href-en="https://en.notsofunnyany.com/">here</a>). After signing in, download the macOS beta profile (macOS Public Beta Access Utility) to install. After installation, the Mac App Store should open automatically and the macOS Mojave update should be ready for download. After downloading (approx. 5GB), the installation process will start automatically. Just follow the instructions and you're done in a few minutes.

As with other operating systems, please note that this is a work in progress version of the operating system that may show signs of instability and some bugs. You install it at your own risk :) All new beta versions will be available to you through updates in the Mac App Store.
