An error occurred in the production process of some pieces of the new iPhone 5s, which causes a shorter battery life and a longer charging time. Diary The New York Times this was admitted by the press spokesperson of Apple Teresa Brewer. The iPhone 5s, which was introduced in September, is supposed to last ten hours of operation and achieve 250 hours of standby time on 3G, according to paper specifications. However, not all customers received this durability.

We recently discovered a flaw in the manufacturing process that, for a small percentage of iPhone 5s units produced, may have reduced its battery life or increased the time required to charge it. Of course, we will replace the iPhone with a new one for customers with defective parts.

Apple did not specify how many phones manufactured the manufacturing defect should affect. According to The New York Times however, it should only be hundreds of units, with several million already produced and sold. It is probably impossible for Apple to track down the owners of the defective pieces themselves. They therefore have to apply for a replacement themselves and should receive a new, functional replacement for their device without any problems or unnecessary delays.
