Apple picker Preschool bag is an application for iPad and iPhone intended for children from three years of age, but much older children will certainly win with it. In nine categories, you can try to compose words together, count animals, recognize shapes or test your logical thinking.
In each area there are several tasks of graduated difficulty. IN Symbols the child must logically complete which picture is missing in the row. At the beginning, he has three options to choose from, and gradually the tasks become more difficult. In another area, children learn to make words from letters. A picture of an animal, fruit or vegetable appears, and the child has to write what it is from the individual jumbled letters. If even a smart parent hesitates, help is available under the light bulb icon.
Mathematics is represented here by two areas - counting fruits and counting animals. It starts with simple counting of depicted animals or other pictures and then moves on to counting. The last two areas include shape recognition and jigsaw puzzles. It is not just about the classic recognition of squares or triangles, but about assigning the shape to the depicted animal or vegetable. For the child, it is definitely something new and more challenging than what he has known so far. Jigsaw puzzles are well-known and children's favorite puzzles. At the beginning, children have to create a picture from four pieces, gradually the number of pieces increases.
I positively perceive the fact that the child has to put the selected answer in the correct place in the individual tasks with a swipe of his finger and it is not enough to just tap on the selected picture, which would then be completed by itself. I also appreciate that the image must drag exactly onto the highlighted field or the answer will not be accepted. It forces the little player to be diligent. If the child answers correctly, a smiling animation will appear. If wrong, the tongue will stick out at us. These images are accompanied by sound animations that the user can change according to his taste. He simply presses the microphone icon in the main menu at the top left and records the text to be played when the answer is correct or incorrect. I don't know of any other educational app for kids where parents can use their recorded voice to encourage their little ones. It's a bonus that many will appreciate.
The basic themes in the bag are the already mentioned animals, fruits and vegetables. I think the choice is the right one. Why burden the child with complex images that he does not know and distract him with flashy animations. The purpose of the whole application is to learn in a fun and non-violent way. And the Preschool Bag definitely fulfilled that with a star.

Hey, we know this app :) We already downloaded it before, without wanting to offend the authors in any way, I think they really succeeded, it's such a handy "cut" for kids with all possible twists and turns...
I didn't know there was a special version for the iPad. I'm already downloading it, I probably won't use the iPhone version anymore and I can delete it.
My daughter has an autistic classmate in kindergarten. His parents bought him a "bag", it's amazing to see how not only such an application, but the entire iPad system can help these children brighten their world. When I spoke with the boy's mother, she told me that they were all absolutely blown away by the possibility of recording those voice messages - no similar application can do that. I just wanted to contribute to the discussion and thank the authors for these children...
