Ondrej Holzman It starts already this Saturday in Prague's National Technical Library iCON Prague 2014, which are two days packed with lectures, exhibitions, attractions and, last but not least, a great apple community. If you still don't have your ticket, you should hurry, some blocks of the conference are already reported to be sold out...
Similar to last year, this year's iCON Prague is divided into a paid and non-paid part. As part of the freely accessible iCON Mania, visitors can look forward to a continuous flow of lectures throughout the weekend. A live Digit with Petr Mára and Honza Březina will be filmed, you will learn how to use the iPad in education, how to take better photos with the iPhone, and a number of different accessories and gadgets for apple products of all kinds will also be presented.
The first hundred visitors, which will visit the National Technical Library on Saturday, will be included in the competition for valuable prizes. Twenty-five lucky people who arrive in time for the grand opening can win an iPhone controller, health and fitness trackers, a nifty SSD drive, and other prizes.
The paid part of this year's iCON Prague is called iCONference and contains four blocks - Mind Maps, Life Hacking, iCON Life and iCON Edu. Saturday Life Hacking, where, for example, Tomáš Hodboď or Jarda Homolka will perform, is already sold out, but anyone who still wants to watch the talk about how hacking can change their life can buy a two-day ticket (4 crowns). Such a ticket will grant him access to all four paid blocks and a few more is left in Ticketon's virtual box office.
Those who attend the Saturdays Mind maps (the block itself for 2 crowns), where Chris Griffiths from the ThinkBuzan association will be the main star, will receive a bonus code for three months of free use of the advanced iMindMap 000 application.
It also belongs to iCON Prague, where most visitors have an iPhone in their pocket iOS application, which has changed since last year in order to meet the criteria set by the new operating system iOS 7. Although the App Store does not yet detect these changes, an updated version will already appear on iPhones, which will offer the complete conference program in the new one, including the possibility of creating your own schedule.
In a very original way, iCON Prague has provided refreshments this year. In front of the National Technical Library Matouš Petráň anchors with his Dishtruck from the popular Dish Bistro. Matouš revealed that his team is preparing a special iCON burger and may even provide more detailed information about it for fans of all kinds of meters. "Of course, there will also be an iCON burger. In addition to the juicy meat, there are pickled onions, blue cheese and of course... an apple," reports Matouš. You will also be able to have refreshments at the general partner of the event and its O2 Lounge.
Of course, Jablíčkář will not be missing at iCON on the weekend of March 22 and 23. Along with news from the entire conference, you can also look forward to seeing us in the framework iCON Mania, where on Sunday from 14 p.m. he will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Mac and we will talk to graphics and video professionals who have already been through a lot with Apple computers.
