If you watched the Apple Keynote the day before yesterday, you definitely didn't miss the commercial called Whodunnit. In it, Apple promoted the new Movie Mode feature. This is a very useful improvement to the cameras of the new iPhones, thanks to which, when shooting video, it automatically focuses and refocuses depending on what is currently in the center of the frame. As with a number of other Apple advertisements, we could also notice Czech actors and locations here.

Attentive viewers and connoisseurs of domestic monuments must have noticed already at the very beginning of the clip. Right on the first ones. in the footage, we can see Průhonice Park, Průhonice Castle and Podzámecký Pond in the Průhonice Park. After a while, the camera moves to the interior, where a crime is being investigated in a small room with a fireplace. Did you notice the woman in the red dress? This is the Czech-Slovak actress, writer and jeweler Vlastina Svátková. In the man who eventually ends up handcuffed in the back seat of a police car, observant viewers will certainly recognize Petr Klimeš - a charismatic actor from Opava, who in the past has acted in, for example, an advertisement for Mattoni, the television series Přístav, Expozitura, or perhaps in the Czech film Polednice.

It is certainly not the first time that Czech actors or Czech locations have appeared in advertising for Apple products. Apple has repeatedly filmed its Christmas commercials here, for example, or the advertising spot in which it promoted its iPhone XR a few years ago. Apart from Czech actors and extras, places such as Prague's Strahov, several stations of the Prague metro, but also the city of Žatec have "starred" in the Apple commercials.
