Apple last week shortly after its keynote he announced, that the final versions of iOS 13 and watchOS 6 for regular users will be released on Thursday, September 19, i.e. today. However, over the past week, we have been asked several times on Facebook and via e-mail what time exactly the new updates will be available. However, based on experience from previous years, it is not difficult to determine the exact hour.

For several years now, the Cupertino company has been releasing all its new systems, updates and beta versions at the same time, precisely at the stroke of ten o'clock in the morning Pacific Standard Time (PST), which applies in California, where Apple is based. If we recalculate the data to our time, we arrive at seven o'clock in the evening, more precisely at 19:00.

However, it is necessary to take into account that Apple will make the new iOS 13 and watchOS 6 available to users gradually, and therefore it is possible that the update may appear on your device with a delay of several minutes. Apple's servers will most likely be overloaded at first as users from all over the world start downloading updates at basically the same time. To speed up the whole process, we recommend that you back up your device to iCloud today and check that you ideally have several gigabytes of free storage space.

On which devices will iOS 13 and watchOS 6 be installed?

With the arrival of iOS 13, four devices will lose support for the latest system, namely iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPod touch 6th generation. Of course, the new iOS will not even be available for iPads, which will receive a specially adapted system in the form of iPadOS. On the other hand, watchOS 6 is compatible with the same Apple Watch models as last year's watchOS 5 – so everyone can install the new system, except for owners of the first Apple Watch (also referred to as Series 0).

You install iOS 13 on: iPhone SE, iPhone 6s/6s Plus, iPhone 7/7 Plus, iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS/XS Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro/11 Pro Max and iPod touch 7th generation.

You install watchOS 6 on: Apple Watch Series 1, Series 2, Series 3, Series 4 and Series 5.

iPadOS and tvOS 13 will be released at the end of the month, macOS Catalina only in October

Today, Apple will release just two of its five new systems that it unveiled at June's WWDC. While iOS 13 and watchOS 6 will be available for download from 19:00 today, iPadOS 13 and probably tvOS 13 will have to wait until September 30. iOS 13.1 will also be released for regular users on the same day. The update for Macs in the form of macOS 10.15 Catalina will be available to regular users during October - Apple has not yet announced the exact date, and we will probably learn it at the expected upcoming keynote, where the 16-inch MacBook Pro should make its debut.
