Michal Ždanský When before more than two years found the movies category in iTunes Movies in your language, there were only two dubbed animations to be found (Cars a Tangled). This situation persisted for a long time, until gradually new dubbed films, intended not only for the children's audience, began to appear, and finally, films from Czech production also appeared.
The growth of the catalog of Czech and Czech-dubbed films was not dizzying, but the important thing is that there was any at all. A viewer who does not know the English language could find his way to a limited extent. Today, the situation is significantly different compared to the period two years ago. There are currently over 200 dubbed films in the Czech iTunes, from animated to blockbusters dark Knight or series Harry Potter.
What's more, the offer of Czech films has also grown quite decently, which started the picture Love is love. Here we can find 21 works of Czech cinematography by Lidice after the cartoon Alois Nebel. There are more recent films here, the vast majority of Czech film classics are still missing, but maybe we will see them one day. Perhaps sooner than the next two years.
Over 200 dubbed films and 20 Czech films still do not represent a catalog that would be equal to the offer of now-defunct video rental stores. However, it is positive that the number is constantly increasing and if we ignore the unnecessarily inflated prices, the Czech viewer can be reasonably satisfied. We are still waiting for the offer of films with Czech subtitles, which is probably due to an error in the category Movies in your language she briefly discovered. Hopefully we'll see it at least this year.

1. the bad thing is that there is no way to find the Czech subtitles, apart from browsing one movie to see if it has Czech or not (Subtitles)
2. I couldn't find a way to turn on subtitles on the AppleTV-1. (ATV1 cannot be updated anymore and does not have Czech among the languages).
3. I usually fix it for ATV-1 using "Subler" where I set the Czech subtitles to English and vice versa.

In my opinion, it doesn't matter that there are a few pieces. It's mainly about the price, and it's really bad. Hopefully the competition will begin to step on their heels and the price will improve.
125 crowns is simply too much to rent a movie. Especially when the double is standing "on top".
I would bet that it will be possible to buy Lidice on CD for not even a penny of the price that it is available for rent in iTunes.
Hey, iTunes would be great if the prices were a quarter of that.

The rental price is plus or minus a visit to the cinema for one person. A bit of realism wouldn't hurt on the price comment side. On the other hand, movies for 16.99E are overpriced. I accept the free price of 11.99 ok, taking into account the fact that I don't have to solve anything and I can watch right away. Czech support could be much better, especially with regard to the subtitle, their "production" must be much cheaper than dubbing
125 CZK for showing a movie is like in the cinema, but the offer?
Either they are films that already min. They were televised twice, or they don't even have Czech subtitles, let alone dubbing. Not to mention buying HD.
If you get rid of the dependence on subtitles and dubbing, the offer on iTunes is really huge :)
Yes, if the offer of films in the Czech version (or subtitled) expands at a steady pace, then in a hundred years there will be a really decent portfolio xD
