Within the iOS operating system, we can find a number of practical functions that can facilitate its daily use. One such gadget is also the possibility of sharing a mobile connection through a so-called hotspot. In this case, the iPhone becomes partially its own Wi-Fi router, which takes mobile data and sends it to its surroundings. You can then connect wirelessly, for example, from your laptop/MacBook or another device with a Wi-Fi connection.

In addition, how to turn on the hotspot on the iPhone is extremely simple. All you have to do is set a password and you're practically done - then anyone can connect to the device to whom you grant access by passing the password. After all, you can read how to do it in the instructions attached above. It is not for nothing that they say that there is strength in simplicity. But sometimes it can be harmful. Because of this, a number of important options are missing in the settings, which is why apple users have practically zero possibility of managing their own hotspot. At the same time, it would be enough for Apple to make a few minor changes.

How Apple could improve hotspot management in iOS

So let's focus on the most important thing. How could Apple actually improve hotspot management in iOS? As we have slightly indicated above, currently the setting is extremely simple and practically everyone can handle it in a matter of seconds. Just go to Settings > Personal Hotspot and here you will find all the options, including setting a password, family sharing or maximizing compatibility. Unfortunately, that's where it ends. What if you wanted to find out how many devices are actually connected to your hotspot, who they are, or how to block someone? In this case, it's a little worse. Fortunately, the number of connected devices can be found through the control center. But that's where it all ends.

Unfortunately, you won't find any other options within the iOS operating system that would make hotspot management easier. Therefore, it would certainly not hurt if Apple made appropriate changes in this direction. As we have already mentioned several times, it would definitely be worth it if expanding (expert) options arrived, within which users could see connected devices (for example, their naming + MAC addresses), and at the same time they could have the option to disconnect or block them . If someone you don't want to share the connection with now connects to the hotspot, you have no choice but to change the password. However, this can be a problem when multiple people/devices are connected to the hotspot. Everyone is suddenly disconnected and forced to enter a new, correct password.
