Today, in our daily column featuring the most interesting games on macOS, we're bringing you a game that's special in more ways than one. First of all, with its genre itself – the newly released Night Book fits into the genre of FMV games (abbreviation for "full motion video"), i.e. those that we could easily call interactive movies. Instead of virtual characters, you will meet flesh and blood actors in them. The second fact that the novelty deviates from the norm is its horror premise, which is all the more impressive because it is an interactive film.

And what is so terrible about the new game from Good Gate Media and Wales Interactive? The main role here is played by a pregnant translator who happens to come across strange occult texts. When she is tricked into reading some of them aloud, she summons a sinister demon to her. You will then follow the story of the interactive film in such a way as to free yourself from the grip of the demon and, in addition to the main character, save her unborn child.

The developers promise an important decision-making role in individual branching situations. Decision making can then lead you to several different endings. You don't have to worry that you won't enjoy Night Book during additional playthroughs. If you want to play the interactive film, which, by the way, had to be shot simultaneously in several countries due to the coronavirus measures, don't hesitate. The developer is offering a ten percent discount a week after the game's release.
