The developers from Glass Bottom Games have finally released their eagerly awaited Skatebird. So, an impatiently awaited small group of people who are among the fans of skateboarding and were looking forward to seeing the little, cute feathered ones ride and do tricks on the boards with wheels. But since the biggest star in the sport is someone named Tony Hawk, we assume there are plenty of such players. Unfortunately, for ordinary players, Skatebird will be just an interesting gimmick.

Even though the game doesn't look very serious from the screenshots (and it doesn't take itself seriously at all), at least its game mechanics are inspired by the golden grail of skateboarding games - the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series. Just like in Skatebird, you'll be pulling off trick combos, grinding along railings, and collecting various items spread across smaller, closed levels. Instead of skate parks, however, due to your size, you'll be moving around improvised structures. For example, look into the office of the main human hero, whom you help throughout the game by completing various tasks.

But what the game wants to bring new by putting small cushions on skateboards drags it to the bottom. Whereas in the aforementioned Tony Hawk's Pro Skater you could feel the weight of your skater with every jump and grit your teeth and wish him a speedy recovery at every failed trick, hollow-boned birds lack such problems. But with that comes what makes such games attractive affairs. But if you just want to fool around in a goofy, miniature world for a while, Skatebird can satisfy that desire.
