Although Apple is closely guarding the technology used in the new Lightning connector and planned to provide the necessary details to selected accessory manufacturers only in November, it looks like they have already cracked the Lightning secret in China. Therefore, we can probably look forward to a wide range of unauthorized accessories for the iPhone 5 in the near future.

Chinese manufacturer iPhone5mod introduced Lightning docking cradle for iPhone 5 including a luminous Lightning-USB cable, which until now was only produced by Apple. He kept his new technology under wraps and has not yet authorized any manufacturer to produce alternative accessories.

However, the iPhone5mod already offers a light-up Lightning-to-USB cable and a white docking cradle that is similar to what Apple offered for older generations of iPhones, but with a Lightning cable input. The cable and cradle separately cost $19,90, or $39,90 together. Converted, a USB cable with a Lightning connector costs approximately 390 crowns (postage to the Czech Republic is 135 crowns), while Apple Offers in your store for 499 crowns.

Server & Hosting MacRumors learned that iPhone5mod currently uses original Apple control chips obtained from one of the suppliers. In addition, he has already received cracked chips that bypass authentication processes and work just like the original ones. This means that we should soon see other accessories with Lightning connectors, but they will be unauthorized. It is a question whether Apple will somehow be able to block this "illegal" accessory.
