The first Saturday of spring attracted a lot of photo enthusiasts, and maybe that's why he had the first one Brno Instameet such a large turnout. On March 21, 75 Instagrammers gathered in Mariánské údolí, just outside the Moravian capital, breaking the record set in Prague a few weeks ago. In short, there are more and more of us! The introductory words of the organizers and the mandatory group photo sessions were replaced by an almost free photo program on the way across the valley, during which we all ran along the trail and "hunted" for the most interesting shots.

The weather was kind to us, and thanks to the clear sky and sun, we were able to make ample use of the reflections on the surface of local water bodies, work with backlighting and shadows, or photograph nature waking up from its winter sleep. There were willow "kittens" to be found here and there, the first purple liverworts were blooming and the whole valley was starting to turn fresh green.

We used the photographic potential of the spring Mariánské údolí to the fullest. We took photos on walls, dams and banks near bodies of water, in rocks and on hills among trees, in grassy meadows. For most of those present, it was the first day when it was already relatively warm and nice this year, and even though Mariánské údolí is a relatively average location from a photographic point of view, everyone was excited by the spring atmosphere and the budding sunny nature. After all, you can check this under the hashtag #wwim11brno, under which you can find over 230 photos on Instagram that radiate positive energy and spring mood.

On the approximately ten-kilometer route through the valley, various groups naturally formed, freely mixing and intermingling. Old friends chatted after a while, new people got to know each other, exchanged experiences and contacts, and we even recorded friendly conversations between people from Brno and people from Prague, who had traveled a long way to get here. Positive vibes they were simply in the air, that must be left!

The relaxed atmosphere was also supported by the draft Starobrno, where some Instagrammers enjoyed a Saturday afternoon rest, while others (the more responsible ones) exchanged liquid bread for an adventure on the Hády limestone hill, where they could take full advantage of the magical Brno sunset.

And what else is left to add? If you haven't been to the Instameet or want to remember it, watch the videos of Radim Zbořil or Jakub Žižka, and if you are curious about what some Instagrammers were doing even after dark, watch the video from Czech Vibes, which says it all.

As is the case at Instameets, Instagrammers also had plenty of opportunities to win interesting prizes. There was a competition for prizes from the metrostore.cz e-shop or a voucher from vyvolejto.cz, in the categories portrait, reflection or jump. In short, Instameets are full of fun, but also opportunities, and if you're still hesitating whether to join us next time, know that we'd love to meet you and don't forget to check out the photos under the hashtag #wwim11brno!
