There are numerous personnel changes taking place at Apple this week in executive positions. This is, for example, the promotion of several people in key positions to the level of vice president. According to the description, this position should be reserved for the "most influential players". The Bloomberg agency reported on the changes in the company's management with reference to its sources.

The position of vice president of hardware engineering will be held by Paul Meade, while Jon Andrews will become vice president of software engineering. Paul Meade has so far led hardware development for Apple's AR headset, and Jon Andrews has worked closely with Craig Federighi on software architecture.

Gary Geaves was promoted to Vice President of Acoustics and Kaiann Drance became Vice President of Marketing. Before his promotion, Gary Geaves worked on the development of audio technology for HomePod and AirPods, Kaiann Drance worked in the field of marketing for the iPhone and the public could see her, for example, at this year's September Keynote as part of the presentation of the iPhone 11. Before their promotion to the vice president position, all of them worked at the level a senior director who is just one rung below the position of vice president in Apple's hierarchy.

Apple also had one return this month - it's Bob Borchers, who served as the company's senior director for the iPhone from 2005-2009 and played a key role in the iPhone's early marketing. After leaving Apple, he worked at Dolby and Google. At Apple, he will work in marketing with a focus on iOS, iCloud and privacy marketing. Along with Kaiann Drance, he will report directly to Greg Joswiak.
