Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), he announced, that in 2013 customers spent 10 billion dollars in the App Store, which translates to over 200 billion crowns. "We'd like to thank our customers for making 2013 the most successful year ever for the App Store," Eddy Cue, senior vice president of Internet Services, said in a press release. "The range of apps for the Christmas season was amazing and we're already looking forward to seeing what developers have to offer in 2014."

According to Apple, developers have earned a total of 15 billion dollars, roughly 302 billion crowns, in the App Store. Many have capitalized on the arrival of iOS 7 and the new developer tools that have spawned a slew of new and innovative apps that would have struggled to make their mark on the legacy system.

Apple even mentioned in its press release several applications that underwent significant and successful changes with the arrival of iOS 7. The developers of Evernote, Yahoo!, AirBnB, OpenTable, Tumblr and Pinterest may be pleased with Apple's attention.

Several foreign developers were also mentioned who could have a bigger say in the App Store in 2014. These include Simogo (Sweden), Frogmind (UK), Plain Vanilla Corp (Iceland), Atypical Games (Romania), Lemonista (China) , BASE (Japan) and Savage Interactive (Australia).
