Ondrej Holzman Apple has added additional information that is displayed on iOS devices for apps in the App Store. After notification of in-app purchase options now we can also find the recommended age in the details.
The box with the age from which the developers recommend the game is one of the first things that users will notice, as it is quite prominent and located right below the name of the application and the developer. Apple is thus apparently responding to the latest problems with children's purchases and wants to make the App Store a much more transparent store.
Apple also surely wants to avoid controversies like it experienced with apps wine a 500px, which were not marked as inappropriate for children, although they contained pornographic videos and images. The second mentioned application was even pulled from the App Store for a moment. Now both apps have a 17+ sticker.
Well done, after flagging apps with in-app purchases directly in the store, I called back in January during my communication with Apple support... and I visibly contributed my bit to the mill... that's nice :-)
