When Apple introduced the iPhone X, one of its main attractions, at least in terms of games, was supposed to be augmented reality, which appeared in a big way with the arrival of iOS 11. Since the launch of the new operating system, there have been many AR titles, but in recent days on foreign websites and forums, there is a completely different trick that has absolutely nothing to do with augmented reality, although it also uses the capabilities of the iPhone X. It's an iPhone X exclusive called Rainbrow, and the interesting thing about it is that you control it with your eyebrows. If you have Apple's new flagship, check out the App Store and play too!

The simple game Rainbrow uses the frontal True Depth module, which is located in the cutout of the iPhone X display. This is also why it is an iPhone X exclusive - the game simply wouldn't work for you on another device. The aim of the "game" is to move the smiley across the playing field, which consists of seven colored lines, and to collect the stars that gradually appear on it. You control the movement of the smiley by moving your eyebrows, and to make it not so easy, obstacles appear on the "map" during the game, which you have to avoid. These have the form of other popular emoticons, such as a car, balloon, etc.

The True Depth module tracks the movement of your eyebrows during gameplay, and based on it, the smiley moves in the game. See the attached video for an illustration. At the beginning, the game may seem simple, but as soon as the first obstacles start to appear, the difficulty increases. This is a fairly original concept that has not yet appeared in games - at least as far as the control mechanics are concerned. The only downside might be that the user looks a bit like a jerk while playing. On the other hand, you will really practice your facial muscles :) The application is available for free in the App Store for all iPhone X owners.
