Although we haven't seen the clicker adventure genre in the limelight of game production lately, it seems that over time it has become a darling of independent developers. Another proof of this is the newly released adventure game Mutropolis. In it, the development company Pirita Studio looks into the distant future, in which the Earth has become an inhospitable place that has little charm for the current human civilization. The developers then place a small robot on this bleak planet to help you uncover its secrets. If this reminds you of a particular Pixar cartoon, you're certainly not alone.

Mutropolis, however, differs from the animated Wall-E in more than artistic processing. The game relies on hand-drawn graphics, which can charm even in the attached screenshots. However, the protagonist of Mutropolis is not the mentioned robot, but the human archaeologist Henry Dijon. He decides to uncover the already forgotten human legacy on planet Earth. It is the year 5000 and people are already comfortably inhabiting terraformed Mars. On Earth, however, in addition to archaeological challenges, much more dangerous precipices await Dijon. These begin when Henry's companion and professor Totel becomes a victim of kidnapping.

Mutropolis promises a unique journey into a surreal future, in which for the main character, the very ordinary everyday things of our time represent essential archaeological secrets. In addition, the developers in the marketing materials point out the fact that the gods of ancient Egypt have awakened on the abandoned Earth. If you want to learn more about the mysterious version of our planet yourself, you can download Mutropolis now.
