More and more users rely on native applications from Apple to plan their day, which in many cases are getting better and better. Native Reminders didn't get as much attention in iOS 17 as Notes, but that doesn't mean it should be a useless app. A lot of people use Reminders to assign tasks with a specific due date, among other things. But what to do if the originally set date of fulfillment has been moved?

The native Reminders app is a great tool for entering and tracking important deadlines, and makes planning ahead easy. But even if you organize your days in advance, plans can sometimes change. When this happens, you'll want to know how to edit all the terms you've created. Setting deadlines in the Notes is not difficult. You can either use Siri for this purpose, or set the given time and date when entering the reminder manually. But what about the adjustments to these terms? It is certainly not a difficult task.

How to edit dates in Reminders on iOS and iPad

Editing appointments is essentially the same on iPhone and iPad. Just follow the instructions below.

  • Run the application Reminders.
  • Tap the task for which you want to edit the due date.
  • Tap the ⓘ to the right of the selected task.
  • You have now moved to the details of the comment. Tap the item Date and select the desired date in the calendar.
  • If you have also set a specific time for the reminder that you would like to change now, tap the item Hour and edit the time.

Want to set one more advance reminder just in case? No problem. Under the section to set the time, tap on Preliminary reminder. You will see a menu in which you can either select one of the preset time data, or after clicking on Own you choose how far in advance you want to be notified of the given task. Once done, just tap on Done in the top-right corner.
