In recent weeks, however, a lot of information began to appear on the Internet, according to which the new models should not bear the designation iPhone 13, but iPhone 12S. This speculation has now been debunked by a relatively accurate leaker going by the moniker DuanRui. The leaker shared a photo on his Twitter, which probably shows the packaging of the product, where you can see the iPhone 13 marking.
So based on this leaked photo, it's clear that Apple is ditching the end cap S. In the past, Apple phones have indicated a slight improvement in terms of performance and functions. The models from this year's generation will therefore bear the designation iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. At the same time, it is also possible that there will be other models with the designation in the future S we won't wait. The last time Apple used this method was in the case of the iPhone XS, where, for example, for the "eights," which were practically just a slightly improved iPhone 7 in the same body, they bet on another serial number.

Launching pre-orders
The iPhone 13 series should be revealed to the world during the traditional September keynote. Nevertheless, it is not entirely clear when the conference will actually take place, i.e. when the pre-orders themselves will subsequently be launched. In any case, the Chinese retailer IT Home came up with interesting information. According to him, the aforementioned pre-orders will start already on Friday, September 17, while some models will be available a week later, on September 24. At the same time, there was also talk about the expected 3rd generation AirPods. Apple currently does not have enough units of these headphones made, so pre-orders for them will not start until September 30. These dates were subsequently confirmed by the popular leaker Jon Prosser, who allegedly learned about them from several sources.

When will the news be introduced?
At the same time, there is also the question of when the news will actually be presented. Fortunately, it is relatively easy to deduce from the dates mentioned above when the September keynote could take place. In this direction, two relatively likely dates are offered. If the first pre-orders start on September 17, then the reveal could take place as early as Tuesday, September 7, or Tuesday, September 14. Apple usually presents new Apple phones on Tuesdays and then launches their pre-orders in the same week or the following week.
