It's our first time they wrote about the application of Czech learning cards a year ago. But now the application intended primarily for children has come with a significant update bringing two new modes that expand the possibilities of developing children and helping them learn new things. After modes Get to know a Browse now it comes too Speak up a pexeso.
It remains true that the application contains twenty-nine thematic circuits from which you can choose. For example, there are colors, fruits, pets, music, numbers, sports, school and many others. They also underwent a minor upgrade in the form of improved resolution.
As the name suggests, mode Speak up is aimed at children's pronunciation. After choosing a topic area, you will hear the assignment of what your child has to do. "Press the microphone and say the word in the picture, listen to the difference in your pronunciation," says a female voice, explaining the complete task. You can then click on the picture and a pleasant female voice will repeat what is shown in the picture to your child. After that, you simply press the microphone icon, say what is in the picture, and you will immediately hear your pronunciation.
Personally, I think this is a great function and option that will be appreciated not only by parents and their children, but also by experts from the ranks of special educators or speech therapists who work with children. Again, there's a lot of potential here in which direction the app can go.
The second new feature pexeso is also quite clear. Your child's task will always be to find two identical pictures that are thematically related to the selected circle. After successful completion, you can see your overview of how you did and how many tries you needed to successfully find all the correct pairs.
All other functions and settings remain unchanged. The application is still available in two versions, i.e. free and the full version for €3,99. You only get six circuits for free to practice on freely. You have to purchase the rest as part of in-app purchases or by purchasing the already mentioned full version.
Another educational application from the PMQ Software portfolio is also worth mentioning Speech therapist. In the latest update, she also got a game for recording her own voice and listening to the correct pronunciation, as well as a pexeso.

The application is decent, but graphically not interesting for children. The Mluvidek application is much better processed (the previous ones asked for an update today). But in Mluvidek, I miss, for example, colors.
in turn, it seems to me that the educational cards are a little better, (I have bought both) I try to look at the app as a child's point of view and not as an adult, there is no general difference in the graphics (children practically do not notice the difference, adults do, but the game is not intended for them) and two settings must be clicked off in the talker (again, this has the advantage of increasing the difficulty) otherwise the next button will not appear, which small children simply do not think of and need the assistance of an adult for some time before they start to perceive it, otherwise they keep pounding on it headlong and nothing happens not happening I have quite a lot of experience with it, because everyone from family and relatives comes to play with us.
