The hardware keyboard for iPhone 6 from Typo is on sale, bringing the keyboard known from BlackBerry products to the latest Apple phone. The buttons and individual rows have undergone a redesign compared to the first model to avoid legal problems.

Typo has learned from its previous mistakes of trying too blatantly to mimic the BlackBerry Q10's keyboard, and in its second version, Typo is making changes that should stave off potential lawsuits from BlackBerry. "The keyboard is designed to avoid legal issues," said Ryan Seacrest, who backs Typo.

Typo2, as the name suggests, is a case with a hardware keyboard under the iPhone 6 display. Due to the reduced dimensions, you cannot reach the Home button after the keyboard is installed. The function itself to return to the main menu is solved by a hardware button in the lower left corner. However, the problem arises if you use the Touch ID feature.

"We think that most users who are thinking about using a hardware keyboard on their iPhone will have no problem giving up Touch ID," said company CEO Laurence Hallier, who went on to reveal that Typo is also working on a new keyboard for the iPad. "We hope to have a keyboard for the iPad sometime next year."

Pre-orders took place on the official website at a price of 99 dollars (2 crowns). All stocks are now sold out and should be in the hands of owners by December 230th. There is also a version for iPhone 15/5s for $5 (79 crowns). However, at the moment, Typo only ships to a few selected countries, which do not include the Czech Republic.
