There are new and new news about the Apple TV+ streaming service every now and then. So that you don't miss any of them, but also so that you are not overwhelmed with news of this type every day, we will bring you a summary of everything that has happened in this area in the past days and weeks.

Satisfaction with the service

Along with the launch of its Apple TV+ streaming service, Apple also introduced a one-year free trial period for anyone who purchased any of its selected products during the specified period. The company Flixed conducted a survey among more than a thousand subscribers of the service. About a fifth of those surveyed used the one-year free period, and 59% of them said in the questionnaire that they wanted to arrange a subscription after the end of this period. However, only 28% of users who only had a seven-day trial period wanted to switch to a subscription. Overall satisfaction with the service is relatively high, but many users find the content of the service insufficient.

Disney+ as competition?

Although Apple TV+ takes a completely different approach to the way content is published than the vast majority of other streaming services, it is often compared to them. But the number of subscribers to this service can only be roughly estimated - Apple did not disclose this number, and Tim Cook limited himself only to the statement that he considers the service successful. On the other hand, Disney+, which is often considered a competitor to Apple TV+, does not hide the number of subscribers. In this regard, Disney recently reported that the number of its users exceeded 28 million. Further growth is expected as the availability of this service gradually spreads around the world. In the second half of March this year, viewers in Great Britain, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria and Switzerland should see the arrival of Disney+.

(Lack of) interest among new iPhone owners

When Apple announced that it would be giving new owners of select devices a year's worth of free use of its streaming service, it surely expected a large influx of followers. The option of a one-year free period was part of every new iPhone, Apple TV, Mac or iPad purchased after September 10 last year. But it turned out that only a relatively small percentage of owners of new Apple devices took advantage of this opportunity. According to analysts' estimates, this strategy won Apple "only" 10 million subscribers.

Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet

Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet premiered on Apple TV+ this week. The series is created by It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia creators Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz. The comedy series tells the story of the team of developers behind the best multiplayer game of all time. Apple has decided to release all nine episodes of its new series at once, in which we can see, for example, Rob McElhenney, David Hornsby or Charlotte Nicdao.
