Today's summary of speculation is quite interesting. In addition to the Apple Car, which has been talked about more and more intensively in recent weeks, there will be talk, for example, of a smaller Apple Watch with a significantly longer battery life or a VR headset from Apple.

Smaller Apple Watch and longer battery life

In recent months, the future Apple Watch has often been talked about in connection with new sensors or functions. But last week, an interesting report appeared on the Internet, which suggests that Apple is seriously considering the possibility of extending the battery life of its smart watches while also reducing their body size. This could be due to the removal of the Taptic Engine component. However, users definitely do not have to worry about the disappearance of the haptic response. Apple recently registered a patent that describes the simultaneous reduction of the watch and the increase in battery capacity. In short, it could be said that according to this patent, there could be a complete removal of the device for the Taptic Engine and at the same time an increase in the battery of the watch. At the same time, it could be specially adapted to, among other things, also take over the function of haptic response. Again, we have to remind you that however great this idea may seem, it is still a patent, the final realization of which unfortunately may not happen at all in the future.

Collaboration on the Apple Car

Since the beginning of this year, there has also been a lot of speculation about a future autonomous electric car from Apple. The name of the car manufacturer Hyundai was heard most often in connection with this topic, but at the end of this week there were reports that Apple is probably also negotiating with a handful of Japanese manufacturers about the future Apple Car. The Nikkei server was among the first to mention it, according to which negotiations are currently underway with at least three different Japanese companies. Apple is reportedly planning to delegate the production of some components to third-party manufacturers, but the decision to engage in production may be difficult for a number of companies for organizational reasons, according to Nikkei. Speculation about the Apple Car has been gaining momentum again in recent weeks. For example, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple could use Hyundai's E-GMP platform for its new car.

VR headset from Apple

The technology server CNET brought a report in the middle of this week, according to which we could see a headset for mixed reality from Apple even during the next year. The fact that Apple could release a device of this type has been speculated for a long time - initially there was talk of VR glasses, over time, experts began to lean more towards the option that the new device could work on the principle of augmented reality. According to CNET, there is a certain probability that Apple could come up with a virtual reality headset as early as next year. It should be equipped with an 8K display and the function of tracking eye and hand movements, as well as an audio system with surround sound support.
