Traditionally, with the end of the week comes a summary of the speculations that have appeared in connection with the Apple company in recent days. As in previous weeks, this time we will be talking about the new iPhones, not only the upcoming iPhone 12, but also several variants of the next iPhone SE. But we will also discuss the transition of future Macs to Apple Silicon processors.

iPhone 12 Mockups

Even in the past week, there was certainly no shortage of information related to the upcoming iPhone 12 series. In this case, the news took the form of photos of mockups of the 5,4″, 6,1″ and 6,7″ iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. The pictures come from a company that produces covers for this year's models. On the Israeli fan site HaAppelistim, a comparison of the aforementioned mockups with the once so popular iPhone 4 appeared. This is not an unusual phenomenon - images of mockups of this type traditionally circulate on the Internet not long before the introduction of new iPhones. Understandably, many details are missing from the models - we won't know, for example, how this year's iPhones will be with a cutout or a camera - but they give us a little closer idea of the upcoming models, in case we don't have time to get it from all the leaks and speculations so far.

Switch to Apple Silicon

Another of this week's speculations concerns the new Macs and the switch to Apple Silicon processors. Well-known leaker Komiya said on his Twitter account this week that the 13-inch MacBook Pro and 12-inch MacBooks will be the first to receive Apple Silicon processors. In the course of next year, iMacs and 16-inch MacBook Pros should arrive, but users will still be able to choose between a variant with an Intel processor. Over the course of the year, there should gradually be a complete transition to Apple Silicon for both Mac Pro and iMac Pro. It is not yet clear when - or if at all - the Mac mini and MacBook Air will receive Apple processors, while the latter model is even speculated to be completely frozen.

New SE models

The diminutive iPhone SE was very popular among a number of users, so it's no wonder that people have been clamoring for its return for a long time. Apple heard their demands this spring, when introduced its iPhone SE 2020. This week, speculation began to appear on the Internet that users could expect several more variants of SE models in the future. One of them is the iPhone SE with a 5,5″ display, which should be equipped with an A14 Bionic chip, a dual camera with a telephoto lens and a Home Button with Touch ID. Another of the speculated models is the 6,1″ variant of the iPhone SE, which should look similar to the iPhone XR and iPhone 11 models, and should also get the A14 Bionic chip, dual camera and Touch ID function. In this case, however, the fingerprint sensor should be located on the side button. The last variant should be the iPhone SE with a 6,1″ display, under the glass of which the sensor for Touch ID should be placed.
